For those of you who didn’t catch it in this months “From the Editors” section, we will be stopping Treehouse publications for an unknown amount of time. When we publish the magazine, we want to make sure we have enough time to dedicate towards it so that our readers get what they are paying for. For the next few months, we won’t have that time. Until then, we are evaluating different ways of distributing the magazine (ie: quarterly, web based, etc.). When we make our decision, we’ll be sure to let everyone know.
All purchases on this web site are of past issues. The 3 and 6 month packages will buy the months stated in their description. 3 and 6 months subscriptions for future issues do not exist because we are unsure of how future issues will be handled. Again, when this option opens up we’ll be sure to let you know. Until then, thanks to all of our readers who have kept this going, and we hope that we can bring your more great content in the near future.

Eek! Web-based?
We all love Treehouse, and even if you can’t do montly issues, quarterly (or any other schedule) would be great… by please, please stay away from a web-based issue style.
Design In-Flight, another once great design publication did the same, and the quality has since deteriorated. Besides, nothing beats actually being able to print out the issues and take them along with you.
Just my two cents. :)

I must agree with Joe, web based is going to remove all the charme of the publication. As of actualy printing it, I must confess I never bothered read it on screen!
Sorry to hear that you have once again to delay issues.

I hope you put out some more issues. This is the only online pub I’ve ever paid for, and, for the last issue out, I bought a 3 month sub (the second one I purchased), only to find out, in the damn issue, that there would not be anymore. Felt dissapointed and ripped off.

This is a sad development. Producing a publication is hard work and it is a shame that you have let down your readers and subscribers. I hope you can get back to producing it soon.

Wow. I’m glad I finally checked in. I realized one day that I hadn’t seen any new issues but couldn’t figure out why. Though I appreciate where you’re coming from, it would have been so awesome to receive an email (as a customer) letting me know that my purchase was no longer good and there would no longer be a product coming to me. Can you really expect customers to get all their news from a blog? A personal note would have been so nice. But… since I didn’t get one, I’m not giving one; I’m putting it on the blog like you guys did. ;)

How about an update?
I took out a 6 month subscription at the start, still waiting on that 6th issue.

Sorry, but it doesn’t look like we’re going to be releasing more isues anytime soon. Natalie, I apologize that you didn’t know that the issues had stopped. The letter from the editor in the last issue stated what was happening, but I can understand that not everyone reads that. Your right in that we probably should have emailed everybody.

Just found your magazine — I hope you will be able to resume publication. I would definitely subscribe.
